Assistant Controller

By leveraging mobility data, Upstream empowers customers with advanced, AI-driven applications across various use cases, including proactive vehicle quality monitoring and detection, cybersecurity detection and response (XDR), misuse detection, usage-based insurance, and more.

We are looking for a talented Assistant Controller to join our Finance team. This role includes managing accounting, taxation and payroll across several subsidiaries, overseeing regulatory and financial reporting and assistance in preparing budgets and forecasts.

As an Assistant Controller you will be reporting to the CFO and be part of a team that is responsible for the finance, accounting, and reporting activities for the company.

This role is full-time and is Israel-based.

Responsibilities

  • Responsibility for all day-to-day financial activities of Upstream’s subsidiaries.
  • Responsible for the payroll process in several subsidiaries
  • Responsibility for the monthly and annual closing process of Upstream’s subsidiaries in accordance with US GAAP.  
  • Oversee and review all bookkeeping activities to ensure accurate and compliant financial records. 
  • Assist with various ad-hoc financial tasks and projects.  
  • Collaborate with external auditors, tax advisors, and cross-functional teams.

 

Requirements

  • CPA with 4+ years of experience in one of the “Big 4” accounting firms
  • In-depth knowledge of accounting standards and industry regulations
  • Expertise in international taxation
  • High level of Excel
  • Excellent English - A must
  • 1-2 years of experience as an assistant controller /controller in a SaaS Startup company with global activity and subsidiaries - an advantage 
  • Experience in NetSuite - an advantage 
  • Team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • High level of Integrity, precision, and accuracy
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to prioritize workload and meet tight deadlines
