Upstream Security Achieves AWS Automotive Competency

The AWS Automotive Competency reinforces Upstream’s leadership in AI-powered solutions for connected vehicles and Smart Mobility

Ann Arbor, MI — November 19, 2024 — Upstream Security, a leading provider of data management and cybersecurity solutions purpose-built for the Automotive and Smart Mobility ecosystem, today announced it has achieved the AWS Automotive Competency status. This designation recognizes Upstream’s proven expertise in delivering data-driven AI-powered solutions tailored for the Automotive industry, integrating with native AWS services to enhance cybersecurity, help after-sales quality teams reduce warranty and recall costs, and enhance customer satisfaction.

The proliferation of advanced connectivity, software-defined capabilities, and autonomous technologies has introduced various risks to the automotive industry, including cybersecurity, recalls, and operational efficiencies. As automotive stakeholders leverage the cloud to innovate and transform their operating model, they seek cloud-native ISVs with deep automotive experience. AWS Automotive Competency Software Partners provide clients with solutions across their digital transformation journey while being assured they have support from a validated AWS Competency Partner to meet their needs.

Achieving the AWS Automotive Competency differentiates Upstream as an AWS Partner Network (APN) member with demonstrated technical proficiency and proven client success in running cloud solutions on AWS for the automotive industry. This program showcases a select few automotive software AWS Partners who have unique domain knowledge. To receive the AWS Automotive Competency designation, AWS Partners must undergo rigorous technical validation and provide vetted client references.

“The AWS Automotive Competency recognition is a significant milestone for Upstream, as it underscores our commitment to addressing the unique data, cybersecurity, and customer satisfaction challenges in the automotive and smart mobility ecosystem,” said Yoav Levy, co-founder and CEO of Upstream. “We are proud to dive deeper and collaborate with AWS to empower OEMs and smart mobility providers, and enable smarter and safer operations through advanced AI-driven insights.”

AWS is enabling scalable, flexible, and cost-effective solutions from startups to global enterprises. To support the seamless integration and deployment of these solutions, AWS established the AWS Automotive Competency Program to help customers identify AWS Partners with deep industry experience and expertise.

Upstream’s Detection and Response (XDR) platform and proactive vehicle quality detection solution, powered by Upstream’s AI layer – Ocean AI – are key enablers for early detection investigations, response, and root cause analysis, coupled with non-intuitive insights from connected vehicle, SDV and mobility data.
